Visiting our campus is one of the best ways to get a feel for Goshen — from classes and dorms to the dining hall menu — and decide if it’s a good fit for you. We are a friendly community where people are happy to answer your questions and show you around.
Did you know that Goshen College’s accounting program is consistently ranked among the best in Indiana? That’s why three of the top 10 accounting firms in the country come to campus every year to recruit GC students directly. It’s not unusual for 100 percent of GC accounting students to have a job lined up before they graduate; some even begin their senior year with a job offer already in place!
In GC’s top-ranked accounting program, you’ll learn how to solve problems and make decisions in a variety of business contexts. You will have two, three or four internships before you graduate, including a required, paid senior internship. These hands-on experiences will prepare you for a full-time position, often at one of the firms where you intern.
Many firms say that there is “something different” about Goshen College students, that they are “mature, confident and competent.” The college’s focus on intercultural and international education (80% of students study abroad), coupled with a strong accounting curriculum, will give you an edge when you are looking for employment.
Doug Nisley (GC ’80) is a partner at Crowe Horwath LLP, the 8th largest CPA firm in the country, and he consistently comes to Goshen College to recruit interns and employees for the firm. Watch this video to learn more!
For major accounting firms, there just aren’t enough people like Corine Graber Alvarez, a 2013 graduate. She was on the Dean’s List, played tennis, had multiple internship and job experiences and won student business awards.
Solongo Gonchigsuren is a 2016 accounting graduate with a TESOL minor from Mongolia. With the help of her professors and the educational setting at GC, Solongo is not only excelling, but also dreaming big.
