Goshen College has announced the lineup for the 2014-15 Afternoon Sabbatical series. The series will feature lectures, performances and special trips.
“My favorite place in the world,” said Andrea Medina, a Goshen College senior social work major from Goshen, “is Alhambra, an ancient Islamic palace in Granada, Spain.”
Benefactors to Goshen College contributed over $5 million during the 2013-14 fiscal year, making it the highest yielding year since 2009.
Sam Carlson, a junior peace, justice and conflict studies (PJCS) major from Goshen, is serving at the Palestinian Conflict Resolution Center (Wi’am) in Bethlehem, Palestine this summer. After making the decision to spend the summer in Palestine, he was accepted into Goshen College’s Service Inquiry Program, which offers students the opportunity to serve with a church-related service or mission agency.
John J. Fisher, professor emeritus of English, who taught at Goshen College for 39 years, died at his home at Waterford Crossing early Monday morning, July 28. He was 88 years old.
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is now accepting registrations for private music lessons, classes and ensembles for the fall 2014 semester. The registration deadline for all private lessons is Aug. 22, 2014. Lessons begin the week of August 25.
