Goshen College Administrator Emeritus J.B. Shenk, who dedicated more than 35 years to various administrative leadership positions at the college from 1957-92, died on Thursday, July 21 at the age of 89.
Dale Hess, associate professor of agroecology and ecological field station director at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, died on Sunday, March 1, in his home after a three-year battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.

Kathryn Sherer, a pianist who instructed hundreds of students and together with her violinist husband performed around the world, died at home on Feb. 28 after a long illness. She was 79 years old and an associate professor emerita of music at Goshen College.
