With National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national tournaments wrapping up across the country, the Goshen College Athletic Department continues to get rewarded for its outstanding fall season on and off the court, field and course. Fall 2008 enrollment statistics at Goshen College show gains in the number of graduate students and a continued high retention rate, but a decline in first-year traditional students.
Goshen College recently recognized 260 students for excellence in academics, on the 2007-08 spring semester Dean’s List.
CNN wanted to speak with Mennonites who are first-time voters this year and learn their views on the presidential election. With the Indiana presidential primary happening on May 6, they decided to visit Goshen College and hear from students about what political issues are important to them, as well as how their Mennonite faith informs their politics.

Five Goshen College student speakers will continue the college’s near-century-old tradition by participating in the 2008 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Feb. 5 in Umble Center at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
