Goshen College President Rebecca Stoltzfus spent her first week getting to know the campus community, laying out her goals and challenging the student body to make the most of their college experience.
On Oct. 17, the Latino Entrepreneurship Program, called “Innovative Entrepreneurs” or “Empresarios Innovadores,” hosted their first free workshop.
Goshen College is the top college for Social Work Majors in Indiana, according to Zippia.
Goshen College welcomed its largest incoming class since 2009, enrolling a total of 215 first-year students and 55 students transferred to Goshen, bringing total enrollment up to 950 students.
The 2017 Culture for Service Awards will be presented to Sheri Hartzler ’73 and Philip Thomas ’87. The 2017 Young Alumni Award will be presented to Nicole Cober Bauman ’08, the 2017 Dr. Ruth Gunden Champion of Character Award will go to Justine (Clemmer) Pletcher ’72, and the Dr. Roman Gingerich Champion of Character Award will go to Stan King ’61.
Goshen College remains among the top ten schools on the U.S. News & World Report list of the Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest, according to the annual rankings.

Goshen College received a national Marketing-Recruitment Excellence Award for turning around more than five years of declining enrollment by developing long-term strategies for recruitment, financial aid strategy, search and strategic enrollment planning.
Goshen College and Eastern Mennonite University (Harrisonburg, Virginia) have partnered to offer an online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), the first doctoral degree program among the five Mennonite Church USA colleges and universities.
