Dan Charles, a food and agriculture correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR), will be the speaker at Goshen College’s 115th commencement on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. in the Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center.
Goshen residents will have an opportunity to explore renovated spaces at Goshen College, experience a live broadcast of 91.1 The Globe and win prizes, including an iPad mini, during a community fair and open house on Sunday, March 24 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Executive Board of Mennonite Church USA has appointed Jo-Ann Brant, professor of Bible, religion and philosophy at Goshen College, to the editorial board of the Believers Church Bible Commentary Series as its denominational representative, effective January 2013.

Legendary musician, songwriter and activist Peter Yarrow from “Peter, Paul and Mary” will be performing a solo concert of his songs on civil rights, human rights and peace at Goshen College Music Center's Sauder Concert Hall on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Speaking on “Laos’ history of war: The need for UXO removal,” Goshen College sophomore Jacob Putnam, from Chicago, Ill., placed first in Goshen College’s 2013 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Feb. 19.
On a typical weekday during the semester, about 75 to 100 pounds of food waste is produced in the college’s dining hall. Because of student commitment and ingenuity, that waste is now turned into compost, which is used as a natural fertilizer in a small garden, eventually producing vegetables and herbs for meals to be served to students.
Goshen College’s Music Department will now be offering three new music scholarships for up to $10,000 a year to new students and is renewable for up to three additional years if a grade point average of 3.0 is maintained.
