Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College will host its second women’s spirituality retreat, “Witness through Storytelling,” from Friday, Jan. 31 to Saturday, Feb. 1. The retreat will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and end mid-afternoon on Saturday.
During a chilly November weekend, 45 student leaders from eight colleges and universities gathered for a sustainability summit at Goshen College’s Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. The goal of the sustainability summit was to bring students from area institutions together to learn, network and brainstorm ways to make their home campuses more sustainable. This year’s focus was on food.
Nocturnal animals will be out and about at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College during the 24th annual Enchanted Forest event on Oct. 25 and 26 from 7-8:30 p.m. This child-friendly and environmentally friendly evening consists of a guided hike by the light of lanterns to meet and hear from friendly nighttime animals in their natural habitat.
From Sept. 20 to 22, Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College will host the annual Autumn Hope Conference, titled “Native Place: Disruption and Healing.” The weekend conference will take the long view of immigration and examine the impact of different people groups on the landscape.
