The GC Communication Department includes approximately 50 to 60 students, but more than 100 others contribute to one of the department’s media enterprises — The Record, The Globe, The Correspondent and FiveCore Media.
The City of Goshen and Goshen College have become a launching pad for a new generation of writers, directors and producers making their mark in the film world, and now the River Bend Film Festival is coming to Goshen this weekend to take advantage of the city’s energy, artistic atmosphere and film connections.

FiveCore Media, Goshen College’s video production company, won a silver and two bronze ADDY Awards for digital advertising campaigns from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Michiana last week.
Students working with the Goshen College’s radio station 91.1 FM The Globe (WGCS) and video production company FiveCore Media are adding more hardware to their collection with four video awards and two radio awards from the Broadcast Education Association (BEA).
A movie filmed in Michiana by a Goshen native is now available for you to watch. It’s a big accomplishment for not only those who made the film but also the community of Goshen, and students at Goshen College are already feeling the affect of the film industry hitting their city.
This summer, 18 Goshen College students are participating in the Maple Scholars Summer Research Program.
