Goshen College has again been named one of the top 200 best values among all private colleges by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. The magazine recently announced the top private universities and liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding quality with affordability.
Goshen College President James E. Brenneman opened the new school year with an impassioned call to action – that all Goshen students fulfill their God-given potential by becoming life-long passionate learners.
More than 35 people from seven countries gathered at Goshen College on August 5-8, for an international consultation on the theme, “Bearing Witness: A New Martyrs Mirror for the 21st Century?” Hosted by the college’s Institute for the Study of Global Anabaptism, the international gathering explored the possibility of a major story-gathering initiative, focused especially on the theme of “costly discipleship.”
Fourteen Goshen College students spent the summer working with professors on various research projects during the college’s eight-week Maple Scholars program in June and July.
Goshen College recently recognized 239 students, for excellence in academics, on the 2011-12 spring semester Dean’s List.
Goshen College Campus Pastor Bob Yoder remembers how his life was significantly changed by a semester spent in the Middle East during college, when the “Bible came alive” for him. He hopes the same will be true for his students as he helps lead one of two classes spending 20 days during May term traveling together through Greece and Rome, tracing the footsteps of the Apostle Paul.
Goshen College’s Class of 2012 received degrees on Sunday, April 22 after being encouraged to become “ambassadors of reconciliation” and to experience the healing and fulfillment possible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
