Goshen College has been honored with 2015 Tree Campus USA® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.
This summer, 18 Goshen College students are participating in the Maple Scholars Summer Research Program.
Goshen College is one of the 353 most environmentally responsible colleges according to The Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges. The Princeton Review chose the schools for the sixth annual edition of its “green guide” based on data from the company’s 2014 survey of hundreds of four-year colleges concerning the schools’ commitments to the environment and sustainability.
As Goshen College’s carbon footprint continues to shrink, its reputation as a leader in sustainable colleges is growing. GC was recently named to Sierra Magazine’s eighth annual list of “Cool Schools,” a ranking of America’s greenest colleges.
Mosquitos are more than just pesky; they can make you sick. Though there's been concern lately about Chikungunya Virus, experts say mosquito borne illnesses, like West Nile, may not be as dangerous as scientists once thought.
They aren't just weeds, and some in the Goshen community already know of the plant's delicious possibilities.
