Goshen College’s accounting program continues to rank as the #1 accounting program among private, Christian liberal arts colleges in Indiana. Based on the results of the Certified Public Accountant exam that all accounting graduates take, the Goshen College accounting program was ranked as the 12th best program in the nation in the small program category and the 3rd best program in Indiana for bachelor’s degree candidates.
The Goshen College Communication Department and FiveCore Media recently released two documentaries on the work of Foods Resource Bank (FRB) and its partners in Kenya: "Sunset to Sunrise: Sustainable Living in Ndeiya" and "Culture and Community: The Maasai Shift to Settled Life."
This past December, Melia Watkins, a sophomore marketing major, won an entrepreneur scholarship through a competition offered at Goshen College. Watkins developed a product called Arilaya Beaded Cord, which consists of leather strands decorated with beads that is braided into the hair and secured with a bobby pin.
In a new effort by Goshen College’s Center for Intercultural and International Education (CIIE), the college has begun offering English language classes for community members.
Goshen College continues to offer an online resource to help believers make time and space in their hearts and minds to reflect during the season of Lent.
Five Goshen College students will present speeches during the 2015 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The annual event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center and is free and open to the public.
If you were paying attention to last week’s episode of To the Best of Our Knowledge from Wisconsin Public Radio, you may have noticed that it was heavily influenced by Goshen College graduates. The weekly themed public radio program focused on “African Genre Fiction” and featured interviews with Ellah Wakatama Allfrey '88 and Sofia Samatar '94.
Science Olympiad teams from 13 area middle and high schools will gather on the Goshen College campus on Saturday, Feb. 14 to compete in 23 science events, including robotics, forensics and sounds of music, for the annual Science Olympiad regional tournament.
