This year Goshen College’s Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Education will continue its seven-week “Lunch and Learn” series with topics ranging from making a toast to managing a city court. The series is geared toward administrative support staff looking to improve their work habits and work environment through lunchtime seminars taught by experienced community leaders.
Merry Lea will host its annual Wilderness First Aid Workshop on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Instructor Jacob Guiser, from the SOLO School of Emergency Medicine and Rescue in Conway, N.H., will teach the 16-hour course.

The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) will hold auditions Aug. 19-20 for youth who wish to sing in the organization’s children’s choirs. CSA offers two community choirs for young children: Rejoice, directed by Kristin Kauffman, for students in grades 3-5, and Shout for Joy, directed by Sandy Hill, for students in grades 6-8.
Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center continues its Sabbath Hike series on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 3:30 p.m. at Merry Lea’s Rieth Village. The 1.5-hour guided hikes are designed to help people let go of their responsibilities and witness earth’s beauty.
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is debuting a new choir for high school students and a new Music Together® class for “big kids.” The CSA is accepting registrations for the fall semester, which begins on August 26, 2013.
The Goshen College Library Gallery will honor Sylvia Gross Bubalo, an artist with Mennonite roots, with an exhibit showcasing her art and poetry this fall. The exhibit, which highlights Gross Bubalo’s passion for spirituality, language and community, will run from Aug.12 through Nov. 16, with a reception on Sept. 8 from 3-5 p.m. in the Library Gallery.
