Bib Lit Impacting in the Classroom and Beyond: Marion Bontrager ’59, Michele Hershberger ’83 and John Sharp ’76 – Hesston College
This fall, students in Hesston College’s famous Introduction to Biblical Literature class received copies of the first print run of The Bible as Story: An Introduction to Biblical Literature as their textbook. Fittingly, the book is co-authored by former and current Hesston College faculty members Marion Bontrager, Michele Hershberger and John Sharp, who have more than 45 years of combined experience teaching the course.
New U.S. history professor brings religious and national ‘outsider’ perspective to role
Philipp Gollner will bring his interests in religion, migration, space, race and ethnicity to Goshen College this fall as a new assistant professor of U.S. history. An Austrian native, Gollner moved to the United States in 2006.
Goshen College accepting applications from high school students for new Study-Service Theology Term
Goshen College’s new Study-Service Theology Term (SSTT) is currently seeking 20 high school applicants for a two-week study tour in Guatemala in June 2017. Students will be provided with the opportunity to explore their understandings of Jesus’ life and mission in light of contemporary challenges and their own sense of calling.

Regina Shands Stoltzfus, assistant professor of peace, justice and conflict studies at Goshen College, has been awarded the 2016 Spirit of Justice Award by the State of Indiana Civil Rights Commission, the state's highest civil rights honor.
Goshen College’s online Advent devotions to begin Nov. 23
Beginning Nov. 23 (the Monday prior to the first Sunday in Advent) and culminating on Christmas Day, Goshen College students, faculty and staff will provide weekday reflections based on lectionary Scripture passages and the Advent theme of "Freedom Bound."
