Jeff Gundy, an award-winning writer on the cutting edge of poetry and creative nonfiction and a central figure in Mennonite literature, will give a presentation on “Poetry, the Sleeping King, and Creative Doubt” on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and book signing.
Irish-born and London-based husband and wife poets Cahal Dallat and Anne-Marie Fyfe will present Goshen College’s annual S.A. Yoder Lecture on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. The event, “An Irish Literary Festival,” will take place in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
The Goshen College Library Gallery will honor Sylvia Gross Bubalo, an artist with Mennonite roots, with an exhibit showcasing her art and poetry this fall. The exhibit, which highlights Gross Bubalo’s passion for spirituality, language and community, will run from Aug.12 through Nov. 16, with a reception on Sept. 8 from 3-5 p.m. in the Library Gallery.
