The Goshen College Music Center will debut a new concert series featuring chamber music and organ concerts on GC’s Opus 41 pipe organ. The 2013-14 series will feature six concerts by outstanding chamber music ensembles and organists, plus a bonus concert and reception for series subscribers only.

As Goshen Commons, a community news website for the city of Goshen, approaches its first anniversary in September, those involved with the site are both pleased with its success and looking toward a future with an even larger following and better representation of Goshen’s diversity.
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of three new staff members in music instruction, as well as a new choral ensemble for high school singers in grades 9-12.
Merry Lea will host its annual Wilderness First Aid Workshop on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Instructor Jacob Guiser, from the SOLO School of Emergency Medicine and Rescue in Conway, N.H., will teach the 16-hour course.
Trackside Community Garden, named for the proximity of the railroad tracks that run alongside it, was established in Goshen this summer with funds from the 2013 graduating class gift. The garden is located on Ninth Street between College and Waverly avenues.
