Heather is double majoring in art and sustainable food systems. During her 2019 Agroecology Summer Intensive (ASI), she brought art onto the farm in a very concrete way. A sculpture that Heather made during the program now stands in the kitchen garden at the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm.

Unlike most undergraduates, Stephan is a 32-year-old father of three with an eight-year career in the military behind him. Stephan is spending the summer of 2018 in Merry Lea’s Agroecology Summer Intensive (ASI) because of his interest in gardening and homesteading.
