Major: Film Production, International Studies minor

Why did you choose Goshen?

I chose Goshen because I originally wanted to major in marine biology and the campus was close enough for me to commute. I then decided to stay after changing majors because of how many opportunities there were to travel and gain new experiences.

Why did you choose your major?

I recently switched to film production because I’ve always loved photography, editing, film, etc. The feeling of capturing the “perfect” image is indescribable, but it took some time to figure out how I could turn that into a career. Although I haven’t taken any film classes yet, I’m excited to see what I can learn and create from them.

What career are you interested in pursuing?

I would love to become a film/video editor, especially if traveling is involved. There are many different paths to take and I am always open to new things so we’ll see what that looks like once I graduate!

What is a valuable experience that you have had at Goshen?

One thing I really appreciated was May term. It allowed me to focus on one topic and connect more with classmates, especially as a commuter. I was also able to visit the dorms once vaccines were administered, so a bunch of friends and I studied there after class. Second semester was tough for all of us so it was a nice, and much needed, wind down.
