Summer job as Peace and Justice Director at Brethren Woods camp

Greetings, Goshen College!

I’m writing to share an exciting opportunity. Brethren Woods is a Church of the Brethren affiliated summer camp located in western Virginia, about an hour and a half from downtown Washington, DC. We are looking to hire a Peace and Justice Director to teach classes to over 500 children and youth who attend our summer camp program each summer. The Peace and Justice Director would have the responsibility to teach Biblical, historical, and theological understandings of peace as well as practical conflict resolution skills to our campers. The ideal candidate has a strong Christian faith, some undergraduate coursework completed in the area of peace and justice studies, and a working knowledge of and ability to teach conflict resolution skills to others. Employment would begin May 29 and end on July 28. A more detailed description of the job can be found at www.brethrenwoods.org/summerstaff. Brethren Woods works hard to hire a diverse and talented staff each summer and we strongly encourage applicants who bring diversity to apply.
