Peggy Seigel Writing Competition 2017

 

A $1000 first prize and other cash prizes will be given annually to the best paper written by an undergraduate student that deals with the history of Indiana in the areas of women’s history, the history of African Americans, peace issues, refugee placement, and/or social justice issues in the state.  Eligible papers must be based on original research and present a well-defined thesis supported by primary source materials.  Papers should be 15 to 30 double-spaced pages in length.

Applicants must submit a brief description of their research topic and summary of their primary resources by March 1.

The deadline for the completion of the accepted project proposals is April 12, 2017.
