Ever wonder what professors do outside of the classroom and off campus? Well, one is busy stirring up tasty treats in the kitchen. Julie Reese, Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department, won first place in the Cake Day contest sponsored by the GC Good Library staff. Reese is a two-time winner, this time with a salted caramel cake.
This is not your easy, whip-together-and-go cake, but requires time and patience to make the caramel swiss buttercream and whipped chocolate ganache. The effort is surely worth the product, for the result is a decadent, smooth, not overly sweet masterpiece.
