The Goshen College Business Department has added a marketing major and minor to the growing list of department programs. Students wanting to study marketing will take courses from the art, business, communication and English departments. In addition to marketing courses, students will add courses in design, public relations, media, speaking and writing to prepare for the broad demands of the marketing profession.
Goshen College graduates working in marketing positions helped to shape the curriculum by providing insight about the knowledge and skills required of them and the people they hire. Career paths in marketing can include everything from sales to public relations to website creation, so students need to have broad knowledge and experiences to prepare them for post-graduation employment. The marketing major combined with the college’s new Pathways to Career program will provide students with the academic knowledge, hands-on learning experiences and career development to be successful marketing professionals.
