Welcome to Dr. Kris Schmidt

Welcome to Dr. Kris Schmidt

On July 1, Dr. Schmidt moved with his family to Goshen from Vancouver, British Columbia where he has been teaching and researching at Trinity Western University. Kris brings an active research program in cellular and molecular biology, using C. elegans as a model system. Kris will teach physiology and developmental biology courses and help provide leadership to the college’s pre-professional program.

Kris is married to Kathryn Koslowsky Schmidt, who has a Doctorate of Music Arts (D.M.A.) in Piano Performance and also taught at TWU. Kathryn and Kris have a son, Jonah.

The department is delighted that Kris, Kathryn, and Jonah have joined our community and we hope you have the chance to meet them soon. (Record article welcoming Kris).
