Entrepreneurship Learning Center

The Entrepreneurship Learning Center (ELC) provides services for student entrepreneurs and business owners, including counseling, workshops and entrepreneurial grants.

Goals of the Entrepreneurship Learning Center

  • Develop and implement initiatives through the ELC to meet the needs of traditional student entrepreneurs, as well as entrepreneurs in the local business, nonprofit, and church community.
  • Promote entrepreneurship as a component of the business department curriculum. Offer a minor in Entrepreneurship with specific courses.
  • Provide entrepreneurial internships to offer real-world experience for students.
  • Maintain entrepreneurial resource center on campus.

To meet the goals stated above, the ELC currently offers:

Initiatives

The ELC has also begun two initiatives, in keeping with the goals stated above.
  • Small Business Institute - a partnership with local Chambers of Commerce and business leaders to offer consulting services, mentoring, workshops, speaker series and other events with the goal of encouraging, supporting, and maintaining a strong business community.
  • Indiana Careers Consortium - a partnership with ten regional colleges and universities to eliminate Indiana Brain Drain.
