Genevieve Cochley Memorial Scholarship

Genevieve Marcella Cochley was born on February 28, 1926 in Owen County, Indiana to Walter and Marie Casida. She received her B.A. from Manchester College and her Master’s Degree from Ball State University. Although her degrees are from these colleges, her favorite college was always Goshen College because of the many friends she made there that lasted her a lifetime. Especially Lela Mann and Clara Raber.

Genevieve married Edward D. Cochley in Redford, in 1953. She taught 1st and 2nd grade in the Wabash City School System for over 37 years. She already knew since she was in elementary school that she wanted to become a teacher. This Scholarship is made in her honor to support and students wanting to enter the teaching profession.
