It’s not unusual for 100 percent of GC’s students in our accounting programs to have a job lined up before they graduate with a degree in accounting; some even begin their senior year with a job offer already in place, or admission to business schools and other graduate programs to pursue a master’s degree!

As part of a Christ-centered college, the business department at Goshen College models a community of faith and learning by incorporating lessons of ethics and social responsibility in all aspects of the business education process. Students are encouraged to question, research, and explore the impact of every business decision on customers, investors, employees, and the environment.

Graduates with 150 credit hours are qualified to take the Uniform CPA Examination in order to qualify for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant. Goshen offers several options for students desiring to complete 150 hours. Students can also meet the state’s 150-hour requirement by completing an accounting degree at Goshen College and transferring to another institution to complete a master’s degree.

As an accounting student, you will have the opportunity to complete a paid, full-time internship before graduation. Many students even receive full-time job offers from their internship firms before they even graduate.
Before you graduate, you will have two, three, or four internships before you graduate, including a required, paid senior internship in finance professions. These hands-on experiences will prepare you for a full-time position, often at one of the firms where you intern. Internships give you invaluable real-world experience and networking opportunities. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to: budget analysis, financial reporting, management accounting, tax preparation.
All students also have the opportunity to engage with different cultures as part of our Study Service Term experience.
