THEA 355 Arts in London

(Cross-listed with Art 355 and Mus 355) Arts in London is an interdisciplinary Artistic World Perspectives study-abroad course that examines the relationship between artistic representation and interprestation within one of the world’s most influential global cities. Using London as a living laboratory, studente engage music, theater, museums, and public culture to explore how artistic meaning is created, interpreted, judges, and received across historical, cultural, and aesthetic contexts. Through guided attendance at performances and exhibitions, focused critical responses, creative practice, and reflective discussion, students apply aesthetic, historical, cultural and audience- based framewroks to the arts. The course emphasizes both interpretation and srtistic practice, enabling students to articulate persoal aesthetic, ethical and social values shaped through artistic experience.
