SOC 242 Native American Societies & Culture

A survey of the diversity and shared patterns of Native American societies and their development from the first settlements of North America until the present day. The course aims to foster a broad and sensitive understanding of the history, lifeways and spirituality of Native Americans and to develop an appreciation for Native American values and contributions to world history. Cross-listed with GLST 241. Students taking the course to meet a global education requirement should register for GLST 241.
