An introductory ceramic course in which students learn and develop skills in ceramic sculpture and functional pottery using a variety of handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques. Students will also learn about the historical relevance of ceramics in society and how we evaluate and analyze work by contemporary ceramic artists.
