Our in-person elementary education program includes a variety of classroom-based experiences that allow you to learn the craft from some of the best teachers in the county. Fall Semester

Educ 300 2 cr Exceptional Learners: Elementary – T,R 12:30-1:45 p.m.
Educ 301* 2 cr Curriculum Studies: Math – M,W,F 1:00-3:00 pm.
Field experience as arranged with professor
Educ 303* 3 cr Literacy I:  Developmental – M,W,F 8:00-9:50 a.m.

Educ 401* 1 cr Child Development Practicum – arranged with professor

Spring Semester

Educ 304* 2 cr Curriculum Studies: Social Studies – M,W,F 1:00-1:50 p.m.

  • Goshen College will accept up to three transfer courses in our elementary Transition to Teaching program. Your transcripts will be reviewed by the program director to determine what courses, if any, have already been met. Because these courses are aligned with specific state standards and learning outcomes, we cannot grant credit for experience.

Applicants must submit all necessary materials by June 1 to be considered for preliminary admission.
