Goshen College welcomes new employees for 2015-16

Goshen College welcomes new employees for the 2015-16 school year, some of whom were hired and began their duties earlier in the year.

NEW TEACHING FACULTY

David Kendall is an associate professor of communication. He is a 1997 graduate of Ball State University and earned an MFA in film, television and directingfrom from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011.

 

Lemmon_Brooke15

Brooke Lemmon is an assistant professor of education and director of special education. She is a 2007 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and earned a master’s degree in education from Ball State University in 2011.

 

Patrick_Sara15

Sara Patrick is an assistant professor of mathematics. She is a 2008 graduate from Indiana State University and earned a master’s degree in mathematics from Indiana University-Purdue University of Fort Wayne in 2015.

 

Rocha_Jose15

Jose Rocha is an associate professor of music. He is a 1998 graduate from the University of Florida, where he earned a master’s degree in music from in 2000. He earned a doctoral degree in music from the University of Houston in 2012.

 

Sensenig_Amanda15

Amanda Sensenig is an assistant professor of psychology. She is a 2003 graduate of Goshen College and earned a master’s degree in 2008 and doctoral degree in 2010 in cognitive psychology from Colorado State University.

Jody Srof is an associate professor of nursing. He is a 1982 graduate of Goshen College, and earned a master’s degree in nursing from Oral Roberts University in 1986.

Jewel Yoder is an associate professor of nursing and director of the RN to BSN program. She is a 1999 graduate of Goshen College and earned a master’s degree in nursing leadership from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Timothy Yoder is an associate professor of business. He is a 1990 graduate of Indiana State University and earned an MBA from Indiana University in 2007.

Laurel Woodward Breckbill is a student life intern and assistant resident director. She is a 2013 Goshen College graduate.

Dominique Burgunder-Johnson is the director of marketing. She is a 2006 Goshen college graduate.

Stephanie Feliz is a custodian in the physical plant.

Kate Friesen is the interim assistant farm manager at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. She is a 2014 Goshen College graduate.

Scott Gloden is the head women’s soccer coach.

Brian Guetig is the director of campus safety and security.

Jacob GunderKline is an admissions counselor. He is a 2013 Goshen College graduate.

Heather Hostetler is the administrative assistant for social work, sociology and anthropology.

Melissa Kinsey is the alumni and career networks coordinator.

Jill Koop Liechty is the Newcomer Center administrative assistant. She is a 1990 Goshen College graduate.

Caleb Longenecker is an admissions counselor. He is a 2015 Goshen College graduate.

Sue Morgan is a custodian in the physical plant.

Maryn Munley is the performance venue production manager. She is a 2013 Goshen College graduate.

Kenneth Newbold is provost and executive vice president. He is a 1999 Bridgewater College graduate and earned his Master’s of Public Administration degree in 2001 and a doctoral degree in strategic leadership in 2014 from James Madison University in Virginia.

Maria Ortiz is an admissions counselor.

Clayton Pelfrey is the enrollment database manager and analyst. He is a 2015 Goshen College graduate.

Leatha Pineda is a custodian in the physical plant.

Joel Pontius is the director of Pre K-12 environmental education at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.

Melinda Sherer is a temporary mailing services coordinator.

Andrew Shields is the head of technical services, systems and serials in the Good Library.

Richard Smith is the temporary printing services coordinator.

Rachel Smucker is an admissions counselor. She is a 2015 Goshen College graduate.

Jacob Smucker is the FiveCore Media assistant producer. He is a 2015 Goshen College graduate.

Corie Steinke is the assistant director of residence life and student activities.

Jane Taylor is the physical plant administrative assistant.

Kristin Waltner is an admissions counselor.

Roberta Werman is the advancement database and reporting manager.

James Whittaker is the interim head track and field coach. He is a 2006 Goshen College graduate.

Scott Barge is interim vice president for enrollment management and marketing. He previously served as director of institutional research, assessment and effectiveness.

Deb Kauffman is the Music Together coordinator. She previously served as director of the Community School of the Arts.

DaVonne Kramer is coordinator of retention and intercultural student support. She previously served as diverse student program coordinator.

Phil Mason is executive director of graduate and continuing studies. He previously served as associate professor of business.

Mary Rose Norell is the director of the Community School of the Arts (CSA). She previously served as CSA arts activities coordinator. 

Rustin Nyce is interim head cross country coach. He previously served as assistant coach.

Ross Peterson-Veatch is interim vice president for academic affair and academic dean. He previously served as associate vice president for academic affairs.

Linda Piersimoni is admissions operations manager. She previously served as data entry coordinator.

Andrew Shields is head of technical services, systems and serials. He previously served as reference and instruction librarian.

Kathleen Yoder is the executive assistant to the president. She previously served as administrative assistant to the vice president of enrollment management and marketing.

Trish Yoder is assistant director of admissions. She previously served as an enrollment counselor.

Jon Zirkle is interim director of agroecology at Merry Lea. He previously served as Merry Lea farm manager and agroecology instructor.
