Goshen College welcomes new employees for 2019-20
Goshen College welcomed new employees for the 2019-20 school year, some of whom were hired and began their duties earlier this year.
New teaching faculty:
Pamela Carralero is interim visiting assistant professor of English. She earned a bachelor’s degree in literature and creative writing from the University of London (England, UK) in 2012, a master’s degree in literature and transatlanticism from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) in 2013, and a Ph.D. in theory and culturalstudies from Purdue University in 2019.
Cristobal Garza Gonzalez is assistant professor of Spanish. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Universidad Atónoma de Nuevo León, Monterrey, Mexico in 1996, a master’s degree in Spanish linguistics and literature from Miami (Ohio) University in 2008, and a Ph.D. in Hispanic literatures and cultural studies from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2019.
Alysha Liljeqvist is assistant professor of business. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and international students from Elon University in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Presidio Graduate School (San Francisco) in 2010. She also received a strategic human resources leadership certificate from Cornell University in 2019.
Terry Martin is assistant professor of Spanish. He is a 1998 Goshen College graduate with a degree in Spanish, and earned a master’s degree from Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) in Spanish language and culture in 2010.
Peter Miller is assistant professor of English. He is a 2009 Goshen College graduate with a degree in English literature and cello performance, and earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Virginia in 2019.
Gretchen Sauder is assistant professor of nursing. She is a 1998 Goshen College graduate with a degree in nursing, and earned a master of science in nursing degree as a family nurse practitioner from Widener University.
Julia Schiavone Camacho is associate professor of history. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history and women’s studies from the University of Arizona in 1997 and a Ph.D. in borderlands history from the University of Texas, El Paso in 2006.
New adjunct professors include:
