Juan Granados is a ceramist who has had numerous exhibitions around the United States and the world, including South Korea, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. Affection and respect for the material clay is fundamental to his studio work, but he also describes the influence of time working with soil and plants, cultivation and harvest. Some of his pieces make direct references to traveling with his family as a migrant farm worker, but all of them seem to grow out of his love for the earth.

Granados teaches at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, as well as leading workshops around the country. In March he will do a series of demonstrations of his work and a slide lecture for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference.
