Could there be a better time for the heirs of the Abrahamic religions to reclaim their common roots of faith than in this season of estrangement? Could there be a better place to embrace our common mission than in this bountiful land of immigrants and refugees?
This year during lent, I invite you to pause every day for a short time to reconnect with wonder.
So lay your burden down at God’s feet, for God is loving and God’s grace will last forever!
God restored Adam and Eve, who lived fruitful lives beyond the garden. God restored Jesus, now Christ, through resurrection. And so we pray with them and with assurance, “Restore us, O God. Restore us!”
Welcome to Goshen College’s online devotionals for the 2017 Lent season! Our theme this year is “Restore Us, O God!.” Every Monday an author will introduce the sub-theme, and on the following weekdays authors will reflect on a specific Scripture passage. The theme for this week, Lent 1, is “We Hunger.”
It’s again the time of the year that Goshen College offers an online resource to help believers make time and space in their hearts and minds to reflect during the season of Lent.
