Residence Life

The majority of our students live on campus…

Goshen offers a variety of housing options for students who are single, married or have families.

One way that residence hall life at Goshen really stands out — in addition to diversity and depth of friendships — is that the college has expectations for living in a campus community, the Goshen College Commitment to Community Standards. These guidelines for living ask us to respect ourselves and one another through the choices we make.

Residential Living Requirements

*All full time students enrolled at GC must live in campus housing unless they have 112 credit hours, turn 23 years of age in a given semester or live with parents or immediate family member. Full restitution of room and board fees will be expected if students bypass the residency requirements.

Res Life Resources

First/Second Year Living

Yoder, Kratz, and Miller Halls are available to single students of any classification under the age of 25 years. Each hall is coed, with men and women on different floors. Students typically live in groups of 20-30 per living unit. Leadership is provided by student resident assistants and a resident director.

Residence hall furnishings are customizable and comfortable!

Each room has two beds, two three-drawer dressers, two-shelf bookshelves, two desks (each has two shelves on top, and the first shelf is high enough to fit a standard-sized computer monitor underneath) and two chairs. All of these items are interchangeable, forming more than 40 design combinations so you and your roommate can rearrange it to suit your needs.

Junior/Senior Living

Westlawn Dining Hall

The Westlawn cafeteria is the staple of the campus diet, offering hot food, vegetarian selections, sandwiches and salads, all-day breakfast items, plenty of ice cream and desserts, international dishes, flexible hours and frequent mealtime entertainment like “open mic night” or a pumpkin-carving contest. There’s plenty of coffee, too!
