There are many sports writers and editors. One of them is Bill Beck for the Elkhart Truth. He has covered stories from Super Bowls to the Olympics in Athens.
Beck has covered many big sporting events. He was the first reporter to cover a story on the high school football game in the Hoosier Dome. He said that he had lots of fun being at the Hoosier Dome and writing about it. When they had the Olympics in Athens, he also wrote about that. He got to follow and interact with an Olympic swimmer for six days in Athens, Greece. The Superbowl is a very well known sport in the United States. Bill Beck had the chance to go to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl with the Giants versus the Patriots. The experience is very different from the home experience, it is much better to watch at home on the TV because you get more detail, Beck mentioned.
Not only does Beck write about sports, he also writes about the athletes and some other people in his life. He had the chance to interview Richard Petty. There were many people lined up on many blocks just to get Petty’s autograph, but Beck got the chance to interview him privately, away from all of his fans. The interview was only about five minutes, but Bill Beck says that was the most memorable interview he has done yet. Beck may be mainly a sports reporter and editor, but he has also written about a boy from Concord high school. This boy has brain cancer. Beck said that this was his favorite article that he has had the chance to write.
Some might have basketball as their favorite sport to write about, but not Bill Beck. His favorite sport to cover and write about is football. Preferably high school football. He has covered a story on the Super Bowl on February 5th, 2012. Another thing he wrote about was the high school football game at the Hoosier Dome with Concord versus Brownsburg.
