As a kid, Bill Beck played scrabble with his grandmother and developed a love of words. His love of words has led him to being a sports writer.
Bill Beck has been working at the Elkhart Truth for 31 years. He stared working for them full time at the age of 20 in 1984. The Elkhart Truth has sent Mr. Beck to the football state finals in Hoosier Dome. In addition, he also spent six days in Athens for the 2002 Olympics. And the biggest event he probably has covered was the Super Bowl Giants versus the Patriots three years ago. “it’s a lot more fun to watch the Super Bowl at home than to be at the stadium.” Beck said when asked about the experience of the Super Bowl. The main thing that Bill Beck covers is high school football.
In 2013 Mr Beck was induced into the sport writers and sportscasters Hall of Fame. When asked about the experience he said that it is humbling to be induced into the sportswriters and sportscasters Hall of Fame.
