Mathematics major
Class of 1988

(1/7/2014) I graduated from Goshen College in May 1988. I spent a year working around Goshen as a substitute teacher, lawn mower with Greenfield lawn and a part time worker at Oaklawn. I moved to Indianapolis in the summer of 1989 and took a math teaching position at Broad Ripple High School. In my second year I also held the positions of Boys Tennis Coach and JV Girls Basketball Coach. I was named teacher of the year in our school in 1993. My wife, Lisa, and I left Indianapolis and served one year in volunteer service at a Catholic Mission in Zambia. I was a math teacher, Lisa worked in the clinic.

We returned to the United States. I took a job at a community bank in Millersburg, OH as Trust Officer in 1994. I attended may banking schools as well as trust schools. This position is where I got my start in helping clients manage their money. I became a Certified Financial Planner in 2000.

I left the bank in 2001, moved back to Indianapolis where I became a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. I assist clients with their investment and help them achieve their goals. I became a Limited Partner with Edward Jones in 2007. I became a Regional Leader in 2009, which is a position to lead over 50 Financial Advisors while maintaining my current clients. I then became a General Partner of Edward Jones in 2013.
