Camping Inquiry has 10 student participants June 17, 2009

    This summer, a record number of Goshen College students – 33 – will participate in the college's three inquiry programs. Of those students, 10 will participate in the Camping Inquiry Program (CIP), where they will work at Christian-based summer camps throughout the country to develop leadership skills and grow in their faith.

Service Inquiry sends 12 students around country and world June 16, 2009

    Two Goshen College students, Breanna J. Nickel and Crystal M. Zook, were awarded undergraduate fellowships this summer from the Fund for Theological Education (FTE). There were a total of 50 undergraduate fellowships awarded.

    Eight members of the Goshen College Maple Leafs Track and Field Team competed on the largest stage in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics when the best of the best from over 300 schools across the United States and Canada gathered for the May 21-23 NAIA Outdoor National Championships just outside of St. Louis, Mo.

    In these tough economic times, business owners are eager to save money. Members of the Sustainable Business Roundtable in Michiana want to save the planet too. Goshen College hosted the May meeting of the group to share some of the "green" practices of the college.

    Combining his musical talents with his love for video games, Goshen College senior Jesse Landis-Eigsti recently wrote and produced the original operetta "I Fratelli Mario" (The Brothers Mario), a 25-minute epic comic operetta based on the video game characters from "Super Mario Brothers."

Goshen College helps students to serve as Mennonite Church USA delegates May 4, 2009

    Ten Goshen (Ind.) College students will serve as delegates for the upcoming Delegate Assembly at the Mennonite Church USA Convention 2009, June 30 to July 5 in Columbus, Ohio. To help make this happen, Goshen College is providing partial financial support for the students.

    Goshen College's Class of 2009 received degrees Sunday, April 26 after being encouraged to take a leap of faith by President James E. Brenneman and to have courage and to persevere by Union College President Stephen Charles Ainlay, a 1973 Goshen College graduate.
