Goshen College welcomes 41 new employees for 2026-27

Goshen College welcomed 41 new employees for the 2026-27 school year, some of whom began their duties earlier this year.

New teaching faculty:

Justin DeWeese is an assistant professor of kinesiology. Since 2021, DeWeese has worked as the assistant athletic director of communications and operations at Goshen College. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management and in business analytics in 2020, and a Master of Business Administration in 2021, both from Ohio University.

Joseph Kreider is an assistant professor of English. A 2017 Goshen College graduate, Kreider returns to the college after working in crisis management at Oaklawn Psychiatric Center. He earned a Master of Arts in literature from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris and a Master of Arts in musicology from Oxford University in England.

Mark Douglass is an associate professor of music. Douglass holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in music performance from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville), and a Ph.D in music performance and composition from the University of North Texas (Denton). He has had an extensive career in music education at universities and colleges. He previously served as a visiting professor at Hillsdale College (Hillsdale), an associate professor at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan, for nine years and a lecturer at the University of Michigan–Dearborn.

Andrew Clouse is an associate professor of nursing. He graduated from Goshen College in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and music. He also served as an admissions counselor at the college from 2004 to 2007. Clouse returns to Goshen after a career in intensive care unit nursing and sedation at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, and ICU nursing at Goshen Hospital. Clouse earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of New Mexico.

Brandon Sanchez Bravo is a visiting assistant professor of history. In 2018, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chicano/a studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020. Sanchez Bravo earned a master’s degree in Latin American studies from California State University, Los Angeles. He also earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in history from Tulane University in New Orleans. His specializations are in Latinx and U.S. history, Caribbean history and the colonial and modern history of Latin America. Before joining Goshen College, Sanchez Bravo was a history instructor at DePaul University.
