Connections in Puerto Rico

If I’m really honest, I’m too exhausted to say much on this blog, so I’m giving you a photo blitz of the past five days.  The GC website was uneditable for a while, so blog posts needed to take a break, which was ok.  In these photos, you’ll see us participating in more school activities with kids, and our 3rd game against a Puerto Rican team, this one in Aibonito again under the lights.  Many students also had the opportunity to spend time with a Puerto Rican host family over the weekend.

So much beauty all around us, and at the same time, students wrestle with a feeling of overwhelm, being distant from many of the things they are accustomed to.  It’s an opportunity to learn how to adapt to newness and find a way forward.  We also talked today about ways to return to an attitude of gratefulness and to embrace every moment of this unique opportunity.
