…and we’re off!

Apr 29 2026

by Mike McHugh

Here’s to hoping that we do not endure as many travel mishaps on our journey to Lahaina as Steve Martin and John Candy experienced in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! As I write this we are settled into our large bus headed to O’Hare with a couple of the other May term groups. If all goes to plan we will arrive at our destination on Maui only a mere 22 hours from now 😁

We hope and pray for safety for all the groups traveling this May, whether it’s for a three-week course or a semester-long course. We are grateful for the many opportunities that GC provides our students for community engaged learning and service experiences. Be sure to check back later this week to see how we have adjusted to the warmer tropical climate and six hour time difference on Maui!
