Time for the trek!

May 18 2025

This morning we’re heading out for a week of trekking in the inner Himalaya. We’ll be experiencing a bit of life in mountain villages, and trekking from temperate forests into sub-alpine and even alpine ecosystems. Our elevation will range from about 7000′ to 12 500′. There will be class sessions in high mountain pastures, and adventures learning to use ‘cat-hole’ latrines. All in all, it should prove to be an unforgettable experience. We’ll report back with pictures and some stories when we return on Sunday the 18th.

As a special challenge, a number of the guys went with fresh mustaches for the trek, even those of us who’ve had beards for 20+ years!
