Saying Goodbye to ARI

May 19 2023

Kyle gives a final thank you to the ARI community

by Kyle HuffordAssociate Professor of Communication

I cannot believe our two plus weeks is over. It has been a hectic, crazy, challenging and rewarding two weeks. We really feel like we became a part of the Asian Rural Institute community. Like I said last night during our presentation, I cannot be more proud and happy with the work these students accomplished. They mostly did not fully anticipate and understand how much work we would do. Both the filmmaking and the farm work. However, they kept their positive attitudes and kept at it. It truly inspired me to see them embrace the project and take ownership over this project.

For our presentation we put together a short video to show the community what we have been working on and to give them an idea of what the final project might look like. Our TA Jeremiah Sherrill put most of it together along with help from our two producers Alyssa McDonald and Court Templeton.

Next stop Tokyo via the bullet train.
