Landrover Maintenance and Catch-up Day

Mar 01 2022

Monday Feb. 28, 2022

Today we had a much-needed day of rest after a week or so of intense work. While Ryan headed to Nanyuki for the day to get new tires on his Land Rover, the rest of us lounged around Mpala and focused on make-up work from the week of classes we missed. The amazing thing about Mpala, however, is that even on rest days there are plenty of opportunities to see remarkable wildlife! In the evening some of us went on a game drive with a PhD student working here. Along some stately giraffe and friendly dikdiks, we got to see a beautiful Grevy’s zebra and had a quick glimpse of a slender mongoose.
