India May Term 2022!!

May 08 2022

Sorry for the delay!  Wi-Fi access and time to dedicate to blogging haven’t quite matched up.  Nevertheless, we have had a great start to our time here in India.

Over the first 30+ hours, our 27 students trickled in on different flights.  We didn’t have a whole lot of time to recover from jet-lag before we hit the streets of Delhi to begin learning about the culture, how the effects of climate change have been felt here, and what individuals are doing to make Delhi a more sustainable and great place to live.

Yesterday, May 7, we moved north to Haridwar, on of the holiest of the Hindu cities at the mouth of the Ganges River.  Here we learn a bit more of the ecology of the area, as well as the human impact on the land and animals of this area.

Pictures will be coming, but I have to wait until we have more dependable internet access.
