The 27th annual Goshen College Academic Symposium will take place Wednesday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 100 Goshen College students and faculty members will present original research and speak on panels.
The keynote session, “Radical Love and Intentional Leadership: Insights from Faculty Research” by Dr. Patrick Farran, associate professor of business, and Dr. Regina Shands Stoltzfus, professor of peace, justice and conflict studies, will begin at 11 a.m. in the Church-Chapel Sanctuary.
At 3:30, President Rebecca Stoltzfus will announce the winners of the President’s Graduating Leader Award, given to seniors that display remarkable leadership and achievement inside and outside of the classroom. The presentation ceremony will be livestreamed.
Every year, the Academic Symposium aims to acknowledge original undergraduate, graduate and faculty research that plays a fruitful and essential role in GC’s academic programs while also providing a professional development opportunity for students to practice their presentation and research skills. It’s also an opportunity to engage with students, faculty and staff across Goshen College, as well as with the local community, on a broad range of academic research and creative works.
GC is suspending classes for the day to enable all students and faculty to participate in this celebration of academic achievements across all disciplines.
