WHAT’S SO GOOD
Good question. Some might say our reputation as one of the nation’s top colleges. U.S. News does, after all, consistently rank Goshen* in the top tier of America’s best liberal arts colleges. But high rankings don’t necessarily speak to the “greater good” about Goshen – and that’s our heart.
You see, we’re not here simply to learn. We’re here with a passion and a purpose – namely, to make peace in every way we can, in the world and within our uncommonly great community. You may think that sounds impossibly naïve and high-minded. But we believe it is possible to change the world, if you have faith and an open mind.
That’s the starting point at Goshen College. As a private Christian college affiliated with the historically peaceful Mennonite Church USA, we’re not only preparing students for successful careers. We’re teaching them to respond – peacefully and productively – to the greatest challenges the world has ever faced. In a nutshell, that’s exactly what’s so good about Goshen.
If that sounds good to you, we hope you’ll learn about our core values. Get acquainted with our outstanding faculty and academic programs. And find out how our innovative study abroad program can change the way you see the world.
* Are you wondering how to pronounce Goshen? Here’s a quick tip: it’s “GO-shen,” not “Gosh-en.” It’s like the land flowing with milk and honey in the Bible.
