    What to expect:

    London SSTers will:

    • Travel to key literary and historical sites in London and surrounding areas
    • Read British literature that engages the history of colonialism
    • Experience the breadth of London: interact with literary figures from African and South Asian communities, among others.
    • Attend performances, readings, and museums (e.g. Globe Theatre, British Museum)
    • Conduct research at archives such as the British Library and BBC Archive

    Additional Courses to Complete SST theme

    • GLST 241: Foundations, World Literature
    • GLST 271: Community Engaged Learning, Poetry and Purpose in Northern Ireland (3 credit hours abroad) OR Music with United Sound
    • GLST 300: Global Issues, Arts and Social Change

    All courses are 3 credit hours. GLST 241, 300 and Music with United Sound are on campus.

    Students taking Global Literature in London and Poetry and Purpose in Northern Ireland back to back may arrange to stay in the U.K. between the two courses.
