Clarke names Zimmerman as 20th President

Yvonne Zimmerman ’98, Ph.D., was appointed as president of Clarke University earlier this year. Zimmerman served as Clarke University’s dean of academic affairs in the fall of 2023, vice president of academic affairs in 2024 and as acting president in 2025.

Before her career at Clarke, Zimmerman served as a professor of Christian ethics, and as associate academic dean for 15 years at Methodist Theological School in Ohio.

Zimmerman holds a Master’s of Theological Studies from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and a Ph.D in religious and theological studies from the Iliff School of Theology and the University of Denver.
