Major: Nursing

Why did you choose Goshen?

I chose Goshen because of the people, positive environment, great education, and to play the sport I love, basketball. When I came on a visit, I knew this was the place for me.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose nursing because I love taking care of people and making others feel loved. I have always wanted to pursue nursing and make a difference in one’s life each day.

What career are you interested in pursuing?

I am interested in becoming a registered nurse, but then getting my master’s degree and becoming a nurse practitioner. However, I do hope to work in the field before I get my master’s.

What is a valuable experience that you have had at Goshen?

A valuable experience I have had at Goshen is probably the past school year. In no way was it easy going to school throughout a pandemic and I truly am proud of everyone for persevering through it.

This was a year that was valuable because it taught a lot of us to be grateful for the small things. I was very grateful that we were able to even be on campus, and I am even more grateful that I was given a freshman basketball season. I am excited for this coming year and I can’t wait to make more memories!
